We are so appreciative that our taco and beer vendors generously donate their samples, allowing us to direct funds raised at Tacofest to clients of Community Support Connections – Meals on Wheels and More. While most of our programs and services are free, for some there is a fee for service to help us reimburse volunteer mileage and cover food costs. Money raised at Tacofest goes into CSC’s Meal Subsidy program, meaning all local seniors have access to Meals on Wheels and Community Dining programs, regardless of their financial situation. This allows our clients to stay in their own homes longer, and to live with independence and dignity.
We have an amazing community, and it’s not just the friends we’ve already told you about that are helping out. There are more behind the scenes supporters we would like to introduce you to. T&J Seafoods is a supplier of a number of local restaurants and caterers, and are getting behind Little Mushroom Catering by donating their main ingredient to help Little Mushroom keep their costs of participating in Tacofest down. We love that our circle of friends and the variety of people helping our clients keeps expanding! We don’t want to give too much away… but it may be a seafood taco!
