Without our vendors, Tacofest would be missing two crucial ingredients. Every year, they donate all the food and drink at our annual fiesta.
Waterloo Region: we want you to help us thank them! Leading up to the big event, we’ll profile our vendors one by one. So next time you’re looking for a great meal or local brew, you know where to turn.
Tucked into the downtown of one of the nicest small towns in Southern Ontario, a visit to the Elora Brewing Company is a must for any beer or food enthusiast. It took them two years of sweat and hard work to build the foundation of what they have now, but this story is more than just about repurposing an old hardware store; it’s about building community and we are very pleased that they have chosen to return to Tacofest again this year.
In the past year, they have won a bronze medal at the 2016 Canadian Brewing Awards for their outstanding and citrusy Elora Borealis, which you can now find in your local LCBO. Further to that, they won a silver medal at the same awards show, in the English IPA category, for their fantastic Lady Friend IPA. Besides what is going on inside the bottle, the label features a flannel clad woman punching a bear in the face. If that’s not the height of greatness, you and I have a different scale of awesomeness.
So in the lead up to Tacofest, be sure to get in your car, or hop on your bike and spend some time at the brewery. You won’t regret it.
