Without our vendors, Tacofest would be missing two crucial ingredients. Every year, they donate all of the food and drink at our annual fiesta.

Waterloo Region: we want you to help us thank them! Leading up to the big event, we’ll profile our vendors one by one. So next time you are looking for a great mean or local brew, you know where to turn.

Hamilton has always had the reputation of a hard-working, blue-collar, steel town, and while this may be true, it only tells part of the story of the city. Beyond the smokestacks and steel mills, Hamilton has one of the most vibrant arts communities in all of Ontario. Whether your niche is music, painting, theatre, photography or craft brewing, there is a space for you in the city. But where do all of these things intersect? Well, that’s where Collective Arts Brewing comes in.

The brewery not only specializes in creating some of our favourite beers on the market, they partner up with artists from all parts of the world (though mainly Canada) and create cans which are essentially individual works of arts. These designs have featured some of the biggest and most successful names in independent music, visual arts and film. To take it a step further, the brewery has teamed up with tech firm Blippar to design an app, allowing drinkers to scan the can and actually see the art of the creator, or listen to music by the featured band.

We are so very excited that Collective Arts will be at Tacofest 2017. Personally, I can’t get enough of their “Prophets and Nomads” Gose brew and while I am hoping they bring some along, regardless of whatever they put on the truck, we know it will be amazing.
